very fun first liga mx game to get into the league! thank you everyone who taught me new things today about liga mx. The game itself was pretty entertaining for a neutral, though rather crazy how ADSL got away with so many non calls, but I was told that is the norm for the league (the non calls). monterrey were absolutely fighting for their lives it felt like I was watching a replay of Mexico vs England in wc26 in the last 15 minutes lmao. maybe they should have a younger backline…? chat was fun too - learned a lot about the kids and the ones in this chat are pretty funny and alright.

Messy, messy game from both teams with the constant turnovers. Bay preogressively giving up as the clock ticks by and gets dispossessed by giving away soft passes. Early 2nd half, bay had decent amount of opportunities which was great but the finishing is so abhorrent. No one on this team can finish properly at all. Last 15 minutes from bay disgusted me. Looked like the players were frustrated at each other for not reading each other’s mind/miscommunication. We can’t even get a fucking draw from a massively injured spirit team. It’s embarrassing and irritating as fuck. Record is now 7-0 spirit when these teams face each other. Sometimes I’m torn on the fact that this is a total year of reconstruction for bay and that maybe I should give them some kind of patience. But not having or showing the competitiveness to at least score a goal is so disgusting to me I can’t stand that shit at all.

Denver is hungry for playoffs and they just have a very balanced roster of rookies, vets and players in-between and their physicality is also pretty good. I feel like their average height is one of the taller teams across the league. And Chicago…I feel for the players and the fans especially. -34 goal differential after this game is pretty remarkable. somebody needs to bring pope leo and have him bless their locker room or something.
